If you love getting into the Halloween spirit, you can incorporate balloons into your theme. Whether hosting a party or decorating the exterior of your home, Halloween balloons are perfect for creating a scary evening.
For a dramatic effect, use Halloween balloons for decorations. For instance, not only will Halloween helium balloons rise above the ground, but they will also stay inflated for days. That means that you can decorate the outside of your home for trick-or-treaters but then bring the balloons indoors when having friends over for a night of horror movies, Halloween-inspired food and drinks, and spooky storytelling.
Following are five scare-worthy design ideas using Halloween balloons for decorations:
1. Pumpkin and Spider Web – Shape round orange latex balloons to look like an oversized pumpkin, complete with twisting green balloons for foliage at the bottom and around the stem. Inside of the empty center, make a “spider web,” out of long white balloons, complete with black balloons shaped to look like a scary spider.
2. Spider on a Balloon Stand – Fill a sheer nylon mesh with round orange balloons to serve as the base and then erect a three-foot cylinder of crystal clear white balloons with spider designs encased in sheer mesh. Add three additional orange balloons on top with a perched spider made of black balloons.
3. Balloon Tree – Fill three planter pots with bricks or rocks to secure them. Next, place a four-foot wood pole inside of the planters, with about 25 round orange balloons at the base, 15 in the center, and 10 at the top. To make your balloon tree scary, attach oversized plastic spiders, bats, eyeballs, and other decorations.
4. Dangling Spiders – With long orange balloons, you can create the legs of a large spider, and for the body, use a single black latex balloon. On that, draw two white eyes with black pupils. When finished, hang multiple spiders from the ceiling.
5. Halloween Centerpieces – For a large sit-down dinner, make scary centerpieces. An excellent way to accomplish this is with seven or eight 11-inch black balloons with light-up jack-o-lantern faces in bright yellow. Tie all of them together with a combination of black and yellow curly ribbon, along with a weight wrapped in black and yellow cellophane.
